Pupils required to isolate 

Where a tutor group or a small number of children need to self-isolate, or local restrictions require pupils to remain at home, we are committed to provide remote education each day. Where pupils are not physically unwell with coronavirus (COVID-19) but who are at home as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19), they need to engage fully in remote learning with support provided to facilitate their continued learning and progress. 

If my child does not have digital or online access at home, how will you support them to access remote education?

We recognise that not everyone will have access to an appropriate device at home. To support remote learning in the event of children not being in school we have a flexible, but limited resource of laptops and chromebooks to loan out to children whilst they are at home. Please contact the school office [office@westmoorsmid.dorset.sch.uk], if you do not have access to a device at home. In addition to this we can provide printed resources, such as photocopied packs, textbooks and/ or workbooks.

How will my child access any online remote education you are providing?

All online remote education that we are providing is accessed via our Virtual Learning Environment, the ITS Learning Platform.

Lesson materials, resources, videos, links to other platforms and feedback will be delivered via our ITS Learning Platform.

Summary: Any child who is absent from school, will be guided to follow his/ her usual structured timetable (see below), accessing the Courses for each subject on the Its Learning Platform, and returning your work for feedback to your teachers.
